Once Upon a P!xar Puzzle Hunt

You flop onto the couch, exhausted after a long day.
You reach for the remote and turn on the TV.

Hm, another rerun.
You switch the channel.
Mm, news. Not feeling it.
You flip through the channels a few more times, before giving up and finally switching off the TV in resignation.

Out of the corner of your eye, you spot your old collection of VHS tapes. One tape in particular catches your eye. The bright sky blue background and large yellow block letters emit a faint glow in the darkness.

A twinge of nostalgia tugs at your heartstrings as you walk over to pick up the cassette off of the shelf. It’s been years since I’ve seen this movie, you think to yourself.
Toy Story… Maybe I’ll put it on.

As the opening scene starts to play, it isn’t long before your eyes start to feel heavy.

“Howdy partner, you awake?”
You open one eye groggily and see a familiar figure looking down at you. When did I fall asleep? How long…
Wait a sec… is that… is that… Goody?!

“We need your help, soldier.”
You turn to your left, where you see Budd Lightyear standing confidently, but with a concerned look on his face.
“You see, we’ve got a little problem-”

“A little problem!” Goody interjects, frantically. “This is not a little problem. We’ve got a big, interdimensional problem on our hands!”
Still groggy, you stare confusingly at Goody as he waves his arms in the air.

“Look. Sporky is Bonnie’s new favorite toy, so we have to make sure he’s safe. But for some reason he keeps running off crying that he’s garbage!
“Every time we turn our backs he tries to sneak away.”

“And that’s the problem,” Budd continues. “Sporky’s run off but this time it looks like he found the portal toy in Bonnie’s closet.”

“Th-the what?” you manage to squeak out.
“The portal toy. A fancy new hi-tech machine that allows toys to travel between dimensions.”
What in the world? You cannot believe what you’re hearing right now.

“Sporky activated the portal toy and phased through the portal and now we can’t track where he went.”
“Right, so that’s where we need your help. We heard jigsaws are good at solving puzzles.”

“J-jigsaw?” you stammer. What in the high heavens is he talking about?
You slowly turn to your right, where a gigantic mirror faces you.
Oh my dog. I-I’m… I’m a jigsaw piece?!

“So are you up for the task, partner?
“We’ll need you to travel through portals, look for clues, and find Sporky!”
“Can we count on you?”

You look over to Goody, then Budd, then back to Goody.
These are your heroes. Of course you’re up for the task!
“I’m on it!” you shout confidently.
You jump up and approach the portal toy.
Let’s go find Sporky!
